Our Strategy

MX-First: email first, then the rest.

Email is the most critical service. That is why we always migrate email first — with minimal downtime and immediate protection via SPF, DKIM and DMARC.

01

Email has priority

Email is business-critical for most companies. We migrate email first so you benefit from Exchange Online immediately — even while the rest still runs on the old server.

02

Parallel operation possible

During the migration, the old server continues to run. There is no hard cut. Only when everything works in the cloud do we decommission the old systems.

03

Immediate security

With the MX switch, we configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC. From day 1 in the cloud, your email communication is protected against spoofing and phishing.

Frequently Asked Questions

What clients want to know about migration.

How long does a migration typically take?+
For a company with 10–30 employees, we plan 4–6 weeks. Email migration is usually completed within a few days. The exact timeline depends on the number of mailboxes, data volume and complexity of the existing infrastructure.
Will data be lost during the migration?+
No. We use proven Microsoft migration tools and verify every file and every mailbox after transfer. Before the migration, we create a complete backup of all data. In over 50 migrations, we have never lost data.
Will there be downtime during the migration?+
The email migration causes a brief maintenance window of 15–30 minutes during the MX record switch. During this time, emails may arrive with minimal delay but are never lost. Files and devices are migrated during normal operations — without interruption.
Can you migrate from any provider?+
Yes. We migrate from Exchange On-Prem, IMAP providers (1&1, Strato, All-Inkl, etc.), Google Workspace, local file servers, NAS systems and most common IT environments. If you have an unusual system, we evaluate it in the free initial consultation.
What happens to the old server after migration?+
We only decommission the old server once everything works in the cloud and has been signed off by you. After that, we recommend secure data erasure (GDPR-compliant). Hardware can be resold or disposed of by us.
What does a cloud migration cost?+
That depends on the scope. A typical migration for 10–25 employees (email + files + devices) ranges between €3,000 and €8,000 one-time. For managed services clients, the initial migration is often included in the contract. We provide a transparent quote in the initial consultation.
